I Got Abraham Lincoln

As a birthday present, a neighbor of mine who is also my best friend's mom, gave me 5 US Dollar. It has a picture of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of U.S.A and an ax wielding vampire hunter ^..^

For trading, it means so little. Five dollar is roughly 50.000 rupiah. It's not much. But for sentimental value, I am so grateful for it. I mean I got a money with the face of ABRAHAM LINCOLN, the vampire hunter wow :D. Maybe the giver wish me that I can go to U.S someday and the 5 dollar is a start. (I hope to get scholarship and to continue further studies... AMIENNN).

Gangnam Style - Psy

Pertama kali tahu tentang Psy adalah pada jaman kerja di Megaxus. "Bird" adalah salah satu lagu Psy yang masuk dalam Ayodance n I like it. Selain itu mungkin hanya lihat di acara TV korea seperti "Strong Heart".

So beberapa bulan yang lalu Psy meluncurkan lagu dan video clip baru yang berjudul "Gangnam Style". Sebenarnya gw udh tau tentang video ini sebelum lebaran tapi baru bener2 duduk dan ngelihat videonya secara utuh beberapa hari yang lalu n videonya is really2 great.



Hilarious/Great video, good tunes and you dont have to understand the lyric just "heyyyyy sexy lady, op, op, oppa Gangnam Style" and do the crazy horse riding dance :D

Response dari video ini is really hugeeeeee and goes viral on Youtube. Bukan orang korea dan asia tapi sampai barat sono juga suka. Dari CNN, BBC,  bahkan Bloomberg yang merupakan media ekonomi mencari peluang untuk menyertakan Gangnam Style pada salah satu laporan beritanya. Artis juga dari Robbie Williams, Simon Pegg dan juga Josh Groban suka. Bahkan Nelly Furtado menyertakan lagu Gangnam Style pada konsernya

Got my Wish Come true

Today is my 29th Birthday. So this is my final year being as twenty something guy :D 
Thank You my Lord for all the blessings You have given me this past years and hope I can live the coming years through your kindness, blessings and never stray from Your path. Thank You.

At lunch, in Atrium Mall, I got my first gift.A special gift from a special someone called "Koi". The gift is

And I LOVE THIS GIFT 

Before, Koi made hints that the gift may be a "tablet" but thank God it isn't. Coz although tablet is cool but it just gives more burden for me. All that money to spend for unlimited data connection while I already have to pay for smartfren and xl = NOOOOOO. Therefore, last night I secretly wished that the gift is not a "tablet" but a watch and today at the gift giving day I got what I WANTED = a Timberland Watch. xoxoxo

This watch is similar but better than my previous cheap watch. Similar in color (black) and bulky body. But unlike the previous digital kind, this one is analog with date. The strap is also different which is made from fabrics (previous is plastic). I like this one because it looks more sturdy, don't have that stupid mistake like the previous and the Timberland logo in the back. (a Tree. I like Trees, that's why my favorite colors are green and brown)

One thing that I don't like is how much it cost. After knowing about the price, well I found it expensive. Yes, for some and maybe those who often dealing with watches, it may not that pricey. But for me, it's very-very pricey >.<

But Overall, this gift is Perfect and I am really grateful for my dear Koi for this gift. Thank you very much xoxoxo

Celengan Koin

Berdasarkan prinsip bahwa “Tidak ada sejuta tanpa seratus rupiah”, maka sejak beberapa bulan yang lalu gw telah mengumpulkan koin 100, 200, 500 dan 1000 rupiah. Sedangkan tempat penyimpanannya adalah sebuah celengan kaleng yang dibeli di Carrefour (dengan gambar Donald Bebek :3).

Koin-koin rupiah atau recehan memang dipandang sebelah mata oleh orang Indonesia, bahkan tidak dipandang sama sekali. Ini mungkin karena nilai logam 100 rupiah yang memang terlalu kecil. Banyak yang tidak mau memilih cara pembayaran dengan koin apalagi yang recehan  seratus rupiah.Ada yang menolak, ada yang memilih untuk tidak menerima kembalian , ada yang meminta, terkadang memaksa, bahkan terkadang mengancam untuk menghajar bila kembalian yang diberikan merupakan recehan. (Untuk yang terakhir gw lihat sendiri di kantin kantor gw... Parah =.=')

Sedangkan untuk diri gw sendiri, gw melihat bahwa tempat kostan, kamar dan laci gw penuh berserakan dengan koin-koin. Banyak yang hanya mengendap, banyak yang akhirnya jatuh ke lantai di sapu, dan sedikit yang dipakai kembali sesuai fungsi mereka- pada umumnya hanya koin yang 500 dan 1000, yang 100 atau 200 biasanya dilupakan. 

Singkat cerita sudah beberapa bulan gw mengumpulkan koin receh dan kemarin malam gw mengambil bukaan kaleng dan merobek celengan. Yang gw temukan adalah sebagai berikut:

Rp. 100              x 107 = Rp. 10.700,-

Rp. 200              x 86   = Rp. 17.500,-

Rp. 500 (kuning) x 27   = RP. 13.500,-  

Rp. 500 (Abu2)  x 164 = Rp. 82.000,-

Rp. 1000 (lama) x        = Rp. 1000,-

RP. 1000 (baru) x 31 = Rp. 31.000,-

Jadi total semuanya adalah Rp. 155.400,- Not bad, Not bad indeed. 

Untungnya, ada Bos Cendol yang bersedia menampung koin2 yang ada. Tentu dengan ditukarkan menjadi uang kertas :D

Overall, I'm happy with the result and likely to do it again. Off to buy new celengan ;)

The Hunger Games and Catching Fire

I lack reading now. Usual reason is I don't have time even though I put rather ambitious goal in GoodreadS.com to read 24 books in 2012. Embarrassingly, I put one French comic and one half read book as already read (I pardoned myself since the comic is in French while for the latter book, I need to remove it from the list). As of August 17, 2012, I am 9 books behind my schedule. Therefore when I saw the Trilogy of The Hunger Games at Gramedia book store, I immediately bought it. Now, I am 7 books behind and reading the last book, Mockingjay.

I read the books on Eid-ul Fitr holiday and I felt like I was in college again. Spending nights and days reading while doing other things for time to time. I really was absorbed in reading them. Very entertaining.

Just little synopsis, Katnis Everdeen take part in Hunger Games competition in place of her sister to save the latter from the game. Objective of the Games is simple, each of 12 Districts sends a boy and a girl to fight till death. Winner can be only one who will receive an abundant of money and won't be hungry anymore. While the districts regard this as dreadful, the capitol sees it as entertainment.

The second book is about Katnis after winning the game. Mostly regarding the unhappiness of Capitol or the President with Katnis because of her actions during the games and the start of the districts' rebellion. Accumulate to her fighting in The Hunger Games for the second time.

I haven't finished the last book.

The book itself very entertaining. Prior reading, I have watched the movie and find the book and movie almost similar in plot. So it will be very good for my friends who wants to read it and learning English at the same time. They we'll be easy imaging it.

Things I like about The Hunger Games
- Likable characters
- Peeta Mellark (like the character in the book, not so much in the movie)
- fast pace story-line
- the story itself
- the killing, the blood, the gore is so oh wonderful

Things I dont like about The Hunger Games
- Sometime it move from one scene to another too fast and unclear

Things I like about the Catching Fire
- again likable characters and especially the previous winners (even the old lady is charming ;D )
- the story about how each of previous winners won their game.
- Katnis back to the games
- the story itself. The rebellion to the capitol is kinda similar feeling with fight again colonialism.
- while reading it, I suddenly feel hopeless thinking how will the characters win against the Capitol. This feeling that evoke by only reading a book is kinda great.
- more blood, more killing, more torture is so oh very very wonderful :D

Things I don't like about Catching Fire
- the game is too short
- the love triangle and Katnis being confuse in the two guys...swt

Overall I like the book and give it 5 stars out of 5 :D

Additional Note
Some say it similar with Japan's Battle Royale. Well  I enjoyed both film but find it different. BR is just wicked and insane. However I need to read the BR first to understand it.

Kehilangan XL Unlimited

Merasa sedikit Bete karena paket XL unlimited sudah tidak ada. Sejak habis masa paket internet unlimited 2hari yang lalu, baru kemarin mau aktifin lagi paket tersebut. Tapi pas dicari ternyata sudah tidak ada, yang ada hanyalah paket hotrod 3G dan itu volume based. Dengan berat hati dan bete yang teramat sangat, gw ikutan daftar yang 2,5 G per bulan. Argggggghhhhhhh. Untuk sekarang kita lihat saja terlebih dahulu. Kalo ternyata belum sampai sebulan kuota gw sudah habis duluan, mari kita cari provider yang lain. Karena masalah hilangnya paket ini, jeleknya sinyal (dirumah suka ilang sinyal gw), putusnya sambungan telp tiba2 adalah beberapa alasan untuk pindah provider.
