. If I recall, there are thousands Kanji and you need to know about 2 thousand to be able reading Japanese newspaper without opening the dictionary
. Even if there are far less kanji than chinise writing, many still consider Kanji is hard to memorize. This of course can be a giant close gate to fully understand Japanese. But if you can open the gate, you may become a good japanese speaker and I have found the right website to help you

In above pic, there's a feature name iKnow and you should click the 'start'. The main idea here is that you are given words in Kanji with the hiragana/katakana writing, the pronunciation and the meaning in English. You will be given three words first and they will start to quiz you. After that they will give you other words and other quiz. Words that will be given can be 5 words or 10 words (it's up to you... me I choose ten of course
)

Beside iKnow, there are also Drill Beta and Brain Speed. The former is like a review of the iKnow. It's basically the same. The latter is like a game
They will give you a word and you have to choose the right answer A.S.A.P. If you answer correctly, they will give you less and lesser time to answer. So you have to answer it very fast
(sorry for the pic below... its not kanji but spanish language... but it's the samelah
)

)Furthermore, they dont just give one kind of quiz. They give 4. First is like above, second with more options, third you have to recognize hiragana/katakana writing and the last is you have to write the Kanji in Hiragana/katakana. And sometime, they also give example using the word in sentence. It's very exciting

Last, with this website you might not be able to write in kanji, just able to recognize it. You may not be a good japanese writer but you may be a good japanese reader. It's better than nothing right
